Maritas began from something very personal to me: a love for teaching, learning, and helping children build strong foundations from an early age.

I’m Wilmari, the educator and creative heart behind Maritas. After more than 14 years of experience in education, I’ve seen how much of a difference the right learning tools can make. I have always believed that children learn best when they can see, touch, practice, repeat, and enjoy what they are doing. That belief is what inspired many of the products we create today.

My husband, Jorge, and I built Maritas together. I bring my background in education, my ideas, and my passion for creating meaningful learning experiences, while Jorge brings the business, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial side that has helped turn those ideas into a growing family business.

What started as an idea between the two of us has grown into a brand centered around thoughtful, hands-on learning. We create educational tools that help children develop handwriting, cursive, phonics, fine motor skills, confidence, and independence.

Every Maritas product is created with a simple question in mind: Would this be something we would want a child in our own family to learn with?

We believe learning doesn’t have to feel complicated or overwhelming. Sometimes the simplest tools—beautifully designed and used consistently—can make the biggest difference.

For us, Maritas is more than a business. It is a way to combine our love for family, education, creativity, and entrepreneurship while helping other families make learning a meaningful part of everyday life.
